About Me...
My name is Nicole Radfelder and I am a Wife, Daughter, Granddaughter,
Niece, Auntie and of most importantly a Mom!
My journey of becoming a Doula started at this point in my life when I thought my family was
complete but I had a very strong desire to still be involved
in the wonderful and beautiful birth process and to empower and educate women for their voice’s
to be heard. After all these are "our" bodies. *(went on to have 2 more beautiful children and gain a bonus daughter)*
My birth experiences have shaped my birth philosophy in many ways. Most
importantly I learned and I believe that birth is a sacred experience and one that
will be remembered forever.
I believe the key to an owned birth is that the mom feels informed, supported, respected and
empowered throughout the process. Circumstances may change, but if she can
look back and say "I made my own choices and did the best I could," the rewards
will be very long-lasting and she feel as though she can own her birth!
I believe that birth can be an empowering, transformative experience for women
(and their partners). Not only is a baby being born but a mother is born…and
most importantly a family is born!
My goal is to Empower Women to Own their Birth!
